How *NOT* to Impress Your Boss when Playing a Wargame or LaserTag..

Have you ever played laser tag or paintball?
What a wonderful way to vent your frustration on your fellow friends or co-workers without hurting anyone!

Have you pictured your boss's face on the whack-a-mole mole at the arcade?
You aren't the only one!

My department once had a team building exercise at a laser tag place where we ate food and shot at eachother. It was wonderful therapy for me due to having a dragon lady for a boss at the time and I relished hiding in the trenches in the dark, strobe light-filled auditorium shooting at her and watching her try to escape my wrath.
I stalked her the entire time. We were all in the dark in similar uniforms but I knew it was her and thought I was safely taking out my frustrations on her much deserved self!

At intermission though, while we stuffed our faces and lost all dignity eating after one of the most intense workouts I can ever remember, the adrenalin pumping, I was dismayed when I looked at the screen above us.
It had the statistics of the evening!

The stats listed who you shot, who shot you and how many times!!!
It was more than apparent that my targeting my boss was quite ummm, how do you say----intentional.
Yes!Intentional, indeed.

I blushed and kept my head low for the next few work days and didn't make eye contact with her.

That will teach me to do something like that which can be tracked via a computer!

Paintball guns (aka paintball markers) were originally used to mark cattle and trees.

The first models were similar to todays but lacked the range and accuracy of today's evolved models.

The first paintball specific one was Splatmaster, which was patented in 1985 and we've come a long way since those days!
Today's paintball technology is quite advanced with the player in mind. They're easier to use and have a great range and supreme accuracy.
