The Squeeze

Today in my blog,The Writer's Blog I wrote about sweatshop writing jobs. Stop by and have a read if you like, here and feel free to add your comments. I'm astounded at how many companies squeeze more work out of writers to get them to hang onto a gig. I hear from many writers who have been doing this several years that the rates are a minute fraction of what freelance writing jobs used to pay. I accept my share of .o1/word gigs but refuse to go any lower. When I do the job for .01 I expect to have little if any research to do and expect to be paid promptly.

I'm seeing more and more .005 jobs and peo9ple flocking to do the work. I hope the madness stops soon because lately, it's been hard to earn a living at this!
