I wrote on my health blog today about Le Mierre's disease. I had trouble finding info about it when my brother in law contracted it a few weeks ago. Luckily for him, he got care in time because it can be fatal. He'll be on antibiotics for several weeks via IV from home after a week in the hospital.
It's hard to not b a germophobe these days. I know that what he had wasn't contagious. He stayed at our house for the last few months and if it were, I'd submerge the house in Javex but it still leaves one uneasy when you think about how quickly you can go from being healthy to being gravely ill.
